11/03/2013 - DAN WHISTON WINS DANCING ON ICE! - Professional ice skater Dan Whiston wins ITV's Dancing On Ice a record three times!

Professional ice skater and presenter Dan Whiston has danced straight into the record books as the only pro skater to have won ITV's Dancing On Ice title three times with his celebrity partners. Last night Dan's partner, Olympic Bronze medallist, gymnast Beth Tweddle was presented with the trophy, and she follows in the footsteps of Dan's previous celebrity partner winners - Gaynor Faye and Hayley Tamaddon. Dan has become a firm favourite on the show with a firm fanbase who continue to support him on the show and on the national tours.

Dan is also in demand on the corporate circuit as he can "skate" with specially designed bladed boots on most hard surface stages, which allow him to replicate exactly the same choreography as you would see him dance on ice. The effect is breath-taking and he can also combine his skating with aerial work or alternatively, he can be booked to dance alongside his celebrity partners or other professional ice dancers.

18/01/2013 - WORLD DANCE MANAGEMENT BRINGS SIRO-A TO LONDON - London Premiere for Siro-A in Association With World Dance Management

SIRO-A, the multi-award winning, electronic multimedia dance theatre extravaganza presents its London premiere from the 1st February until the 22nd April 2013 at The Leicester Square Theatre in London.

"The lovechild of GamarJobat and Sirqus Alfon, this is a technical marvel. Conspiring to combine comedy, dance and technical wizardry with a healthy dose of thumping techno music, live performers superimpose themselves over projected material, … quality family entertainment". ****Three Weeks

SIRO-A, in association with World Dance Management, is an exciting six strong performance group from Sendai, Japan, who have wowed audiences all over the world and are now, for the first time, bringing their unique performance style to London.

The name SIRO-A, derived from the Japanese word ‘SIRO' meaning white or colourless, means to belong to no group or impossible to define. And tough to define they are!

"At one point, I couldn't tell the difference between live performer and projected image. This is a spectacular visual experience. This Japanese company overwhelm with staggering technological interactions between multimedia, performer and audience member." **** Broadway Baby

Often described as Japan's answer to the Blue Man Group, SIRO-A perfectly fuse modern technology with mime and movement all set to a pulsating electro beat, mixed live every night. Their visually stunning show performed to 30,000 people at the Shanghai Expo, has wowed TED.com audiences in Tokyo and won Mervyn Stutter's "Spirit of the Fringe" award at the Edinburgh Festival 2011.

This is a spectacular piece of family entertainment, fusing video mapping, laser lights and on stage DJ's. It's an interactive, multimedia, physical/dance theatre show combining human body performances with video projection technology and breath-taking optical illusions while SIRO-A flex their finest techno muscle. It's an explosion of light, sight, sound, and movement, seamlessly breaking language barriers with a non-verbal performance that can be enjoyed by all people of all ages.

"A brilliant, bright and beautiful show… some of the most manic and animated human performers you are likely to see anywhere. It's mime, but not as we know it!" Total Theatre

welcome to showbiz works

Showbizworks operates on behalf of our clients to source and book celebrity talent and famous name musicians, often referred to as named artistes.

Our clients include private individuals, corporate companies, event managers, marketing and PR agencies, public organisations and charities. We book celebrities from music, television and radio, comedy, sport and the business world for a wide range of activities. We have booked celebrity talent to take part in product launches, company motivation events, parties, award evenings, fund raising events, after dinner speaking and for product endorsement.

At the outset of your enquiry we ask for as much information about your planned event or activity as possible, such as what you are trying to achieve, your deadlines, the location, who is the target audience and what are the key messages and business objectives?. Maybe you have a list of preferred celebrities or a particular name in mind?

Our celebrity database has over 2,000 names, we work with the artistes direct, or their sole management. Only a small percentage of the artistes we have access to are listed on the website.

We will also help you with the required budget. A celebrity’s fee can change by the day depending on availability, profile in the press and TV, time line of releasing albums, tour plans etc. Some named artistes will not even quote a fee and ask the client to make an offer. We are constantly working on your behalf to make sure you get the best value for money. We want to build a relationship with our clients for future business, not just the current enquiry.

We will research our extensive database of celebrity talent and also submit your enquiry to all our contacts in the entertainment marketplace to obtain a selection of celebrity submissions. Working together with our client we will then narrow down the selection.

From this selection we will then contact the artistes to check initial interest in the project.

Negotiation can take from a couple of days up to a month. We will agree with you and the artiste a fee as well as all the rider details. The ‘rider’ includes everything outside the main fee and any additional activity required to look after the artiste properly. The rider can include travel costs, accommodation, catering, dressing room requirements and a technical rider will include any necessary equipment to deliver the performance such as sound, lighting, staging etc. We ensure that all rider requirements are achievable and known before proceeding to contract.

Our fee for sourcing the celebrity, negotiating and contracting is included in the agreed artiste’s fee.

When you are happy to take the next step we will then make a formal offer to the artiste on your behalf.

We will create a contract that includes all the details and is agreed by the artiste and yourself. The devil is always in the detail and no two celebrity contracts are the same. We are here to ensure that there are no oversights and no surprise additional costs to you that can often be overlooked if you are not used to dealing regularly with celebrity bookings.

The contract will include payment terms. Most bookings include a 50% deposit and the remaining fee must be cleared in advance at least 21 days before the event. This is standard when booking named artistes to ensure that the client is a serious buyer. We will hold the balance in escrow and pay the artiste immediately after the event.

Showbizworks is an experienced celebrity buyer and will keep you updated and chase up each step of the booking. We aim to make the booking process as easy as possible.
