21/11/2013 - THE TILLER GIRLS ARE BACK - World Dance Management Brings Back The Tiller Girls
World Dance Management and Showbizworks are delighted to announce that The Tiller Girls will be making their first TV appearance in almost 40 years as guests on a BBC1 Christmas special that will be broadcast across the nation at 8pm on Boxing Day.
We are casting for dancers through Pippa Ailion, on the 2nd December in London and we are thrilled that the wonderful Bill Deamer (Best Choreographer 2013 and Olivier Award winner - choreographer of Top Hat) will be studying John Tiller's original choreography (from the 1900's) and bringing it right up to date for The Tiller Girls re-launch. World Dance Management has been granted the licence for The Tiller Girls and we have worked closely with the Tiller family to retain the integrity of the family name and the contribution that John Tiller's dancers made to the history of dance.
In his prime (in the 1920's) John Tiller had 80 troupes around the world. They performed at the Folies Bergere in Paris with Josephine Baker, they danced in New York, Germany, Hong Kong, South Africa, basically world-wide.
Marina Blore, director of World Dance Management said: "As an ex dancer and choreographer, I remember The Tiller Girls of the late 60's and 70's and professional dancers everywhere held them in very high regard. Being a Tiller always commanded respect. It is a huge honour to be handed the reigns to re-launch The Tiller Girls and whilst we plan to make the look and choreography relevant to today's audience, the original traditions and disciplines of precision dance will be an integral part of the new look Tiller Girls."
Bernard Tiller, the great, great grandson of John Tiller explains: "For a number of years I have been looking for a partner who can revive the Tiller Girls. World Dance Management is without doubt the best company to take the Tiller Girl name forward. This is something that I have been working on and dreaming of for over thirty years and hope this will again see "The Tiller Girls" name up in lights and the tradition of the past dancers carried forward to a new generation."
01/10/2013 - JONATHAN PHANG ON SHOPAHOLIC SHOWDOWN & BBC RADIO - Showbizworks books Jonathan Phang on TLC and BBC Radio London
It's been a busy time for Jonathan Phang as Showbizworks arranged appearances for the renowned fashion expert and ardent cook, on Shopaholic Showdown for TLC channel and on BBC Radio London as a guest fashion expert for the Vanessa Feltz programme.
"Shopaholic Showdown" returns this October to TLC with actress and singer Holly Valance and fashion expert Brix Smith-Start on a search for Britain's best shopper. This time the stakes are higher, and the comments cattier, as they are joined by the sharp-suited, sharp-tongued judge from Dancing on Ice, Jason Gardiner.
This discerning front row panel, will be joined each week by a different guest judge and Showbizworks provided fashion expert Jonathan Phang who will be seen on screen on the 17th October, setting a series of style-based challenges for the four self-proclaimed fashionistas, all lucky enough to be let loose in their dream department store. Whether it's crafting the perfect look for a beach wedding or choosing the right outfit for a ball, these fashion fanatics must dress to impress the panel and outdo their opponents if they are to be crowned top of the frocks and win their wardrobe.
Showbizworks also arranged for Jonathan Phang to be a guest on Vanessa Feltz'z BBC Radio London programme to discuss the disparity in standard dress sizes from one shop to another and the frustration this causes women as customers.

11/09/2013 - STRICTLY COME DANCING CELEBRITY PARTNERS ANNOUNCED - Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton get their celebrity partners on Strictly Come Dancing
After weeks of wondering, the wait is finally over for Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton, two of the professional dancers on the new series of Strictly Come Dancing. Their celebrity partners were announced last Saturday in a lavish all singing, all dancing production that included Rod Stewart and Jessie J as guest artistes. Venezuelan born Karen has to transform Dave Myers from a hairy biker into a heavenly jiver, whilst Grimsby born Kevin will be partnering BBC Breakfast News presenter Susannah Reid, who is more used to the comfort of a couch than the centre of a dance floor.
Karen (who was brought up in New York) was crowned the 2008 World Mambo Champion and the following year gave her the chance to show her versatility as an all round trained dancer when she reached the final six girls of the American version of So You Think You Can Dance, performing jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, hustle, ballroom and Latin.
Kevin is former Youth World Number 1 and four time British Latin Champion. He trained in ballroom and Latin from an early age, taught by his parents, former World Champions Keith and Judy Clifton, who run the Clifton Dance Academy in Grimsby. Kevin went on to win International Open titles in Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Japan, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, Finland and Belgium.
Both Karen and Kevin have performed in the West End and Broadway productions of Burn The Floor and they have recently got engaged to be married.
Both dancers are exclusively managed by World Dance Management and Showbizworks. For more information click here Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton
